The REST API returns the same answer to a partner's system as to an agent signed in at the portal.

Your own live trade price
Ask for a party and a date and the API returns the trade price for your agency. Where a product is not yet rated, the answer is price on request. Agents see their own agency's price in USD, EUR or GBP.

Booked or requested, by service
Some services are booked straight away. Others are requests that our team confirms or answers with an offer, and nothing is taken on those until we have answered.

API key or agent login
A partner's system uses an API key; an agent uses the login at the portal. Both receive the same price and the same answer.

Search, trade price and booking are available for each family through the partner API and the agent portal. Where a product is not yet rated, the answer is price on request.

Which services does it cover?
Cruises (Nile, dahabiya and Lake Nasser), day tours and excursions, multi-day tours, airport transfers and hotels. Depending on the service, a booking is made straight away (bank-transfer details and a pay-by date shown at once) or sent as a request that our team confirms or answers with an offer; nothing is taken on a request until we have answered. Where a product is not yet rated, the answer is price on request. Agents also have an account area with their bookings and statements.

Who can use the trade REST API?
Approved trade partners: tour operators, travel agencies, OTAs and other trade buyers. Request trade access and our team approves the agency before any price is shown.

How are prices determined?
Each approved agency has its own trade price level, set by Discovery Tours Egypt. The trade price returned for a party and date is the price for your agency, and the same price appears whether you ask through your system or the agent portal, in USD, EUR or GBP.

How does payment work?
Payment is by bank transfer. The booking shows the bank details and the date to pay by, and our team records the payment against the booking. Nothing is taken on a request until we have answered.

How do I get an API key?
Request trade access at partners.dmcegypt.com. Once your agency is approved, our team issues the key. Agents who prefer the portal can sign in with the agent login instead.
